Russell Mitten has been racing super sportsman for more than 20 years. His experience as a chassis builder began in 2004, building his own sportsman chassis and doing chassis repair work at his home-based shop. Part-time chassis building for JEI Performance during this time quickly became a full-time passion in 2005. JEI was acquired by Ti22 in August of 2010, and the gf1 chassis was created.

Production of the gf1 chassis was suspended in January 2017 when Ti22 closed its doors, yet Russell knew he wanted to continue building sprint cars. Building on his years of experience fabricating and repairing sprint and sportsman chassis, RPM Chassis, LLC was created to continue that passion. Production now includes sprint and sportsman chassis, and chassis components.

Russell’s knowledge and his willingness to help teams is well known around the local tracks. His craftsmanship and attention to detail is second to none, and he takes great pride in his work and the safety of all racers.
